How Later Traitor Gloves Came To Be
How Later Traitor Gloves Came To Be
The list of features below are built into every one of our gloves. We source the highest quality cowhide leather which makes our gloves have a buttery leather feel that are indestructible while still having an all-day comfortable fit. Heavy-duty work that requires gloves, make sure your protective gear isn’t holding you back. Here are the features that encompass the Later Traitor brand making sure your gloves are holding up to everything you throw at them.
1. Durability
The most annoying thing about gloves on the market is that they aren’t built to last. At Later Traitor, the single most important aspect of designing our gloves was making sure they hold up to heavy-duty work. We got tired of blowing through gloves ½ through a project. There is nothing worse than when you’re welding or grinding and you forget about that hold in your glove and scorch your finger.
Our mission is to end the glove blow out. We are after all types of blow out - fingers, knuckles, palms! Later Traitor gloves are made with 1.0mm cowhide all-leather that have seams that aren’t where normal gloves place them. The seams are tucked up on the top of the gloves to stay away from where the work gets done. This makes sure the seams don’t blow out as the gloves wear in.
2. Dexterity
One issue we’ve always had with leather gloves is that when you drop that tiny washer on the shop floor you have to take off your glove to pick it up. Later Traitor gloves use seam placement, doubled up leather and padding only where needed, and longer cuffs to a form fitting work glove with heaps of dexterity.
We can’t get over how important where the seams were placed on our gloves. We found that gloves with so many seams where the work gets done tend to fall apart almost immediately. On the finger/thumb seams we moved everything on the back side of the glove. This helps with the dexterity of how your fingers move organically.
Along with the seams we doubled up the leather on the palm with dexterity openings to be able to squeeze a fist with ease. We also added a slight amount of padding at the knuckles for bashing sake. We’ve been known to punch something when you grind too much metal off or you cut too much off a 2x4. We got you covered on all sides.
One of the major items we knew we had to include in our gloves was the longer cuff. Almost all heavy-duty leather gloves on the market don’t have a long cuff that velcro closet to your wrist. We made our glove hug tightly there because wrist mobility shouldn’t come in the way of a tightly fitting glove. The velcro cuff makes sure no hot material flies down your wrist when working and protects your wrist higher than loose wristed gloves.
3. Quality
We knew that to have a glove with dexterity and durability, we needed to source a glove design that nobody else was doing and put that together with materials that don’t skimp. We’ve been consumers within the glove market our entire working careers and knew that to stand out we had to develop a glove that would break the band but also would hold up to daily work.
The outside cowhide leather is subtle while the inside is soft providing an all-day fit. Gloves are no different than a new pair of shoes, stiff upon the first wear but as you go beyond they start to melt into your feet. Every time you put on your Later Traitor gloves they start to become your own. The form fitting design along with the buttery leather makes the leather form to your hands over time. If you put on someone else's pair of Later Traitor gloves in the same size, they wouldn’t feel the same. Your gloves start to become your own as you carry them through life.
Our 1.0mm thick cowhide leather, seam and thread placements, form fitting design is all part of what make Later Traitor the highest quality glove currently produced. Every glove is inspected by a member of our team to make sure that your workwear is mighty.
